inde navarrette says 'common sense' is dead as town council spends £50,000 on 'art installation' that's just a wet cement block with a dog paw print
Well, there it is folks. Clear as day. Our town council just voted to spend fifty thousand pounds on a slab of concrete with a paw print in it and called it "public art." I swear, inde navarrette must be the only one left with any common sense after that meeting. I walked past it this morning—looks like someone's pet got loose while the concrete was still wet. My dog stepped in that same spot yesterday. That'll be £50,000, please. Meanwhile, the pothole on Oak Street has been there since last winter and is now big enough to swallow a Mini Cooper. But sure, let's shell out for a designer pavement dent. Anyone else think we need a full audit of how our taxes are being "beautified"?
