Krispy Kreme Drops Glazed Donuts From Menu, Replaces With Sourdough Toast, And This Town Has Officially Lost Its Mind
Well, here we go again. Another company deciding we all need fancy, overpriced toast instead of a classic, melt-in-your-mouth glazed donut. I walked into our local Krispy Kreme yesterday for my morning coffee and the ‘Hot Now’ sign was dark. The kid behind the counter actually handed me a paper bag with two slices of sourdough and a tiny cup of jam. For $4.50. Common sense says if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Nobody is driving across town for toast you can burn in your own toaster. I get that gluten-free trends are big in the city, but we live in a town where traffic stops for a tractor. Bring back the original recipe and stop trying to be a hipster bakery. My blood pressure can’t take this, and neither can my taste buds.
