Great Lakes Shipping Crisis: "Common Sense Says Don't Park Your Boat in the Middle of the Lake!"

As an angry local who's lived here my whole life, can we just use some common sense? I'm staring at my Facebook feed and see yet another "viral" story about a guy who anchored his 30-foot sailboat right in the middle of Lake Erie near the shipping lanes, then had the nerve to complain to the news that a freighter "came too close." Are you kidding me? These freighters are massive, they can't turn on a dime, and you're floating in a tiny piece of plastic in the great lakes. My dad taught me respect for the water: you stay out of the way of commercial traffic. Now this clown is calling for "designated anchor zones" because he got a wake. Get a grip!
