2018-2022 ford safety recall finally addresses the obvious problem my family saw coming three years ago.

I'm sorry, but why does it take a government investigation and a massive 2018-2022 ford safety recall to fix something any backyard mechanic with half a brain could have spotted? My neighbor's 2020 Explorer has been making that grinding noise since the lease was signed, and the dealer told him it was "normal wear and tear." Now Ford is recalling over 400,000 vehicles because the rear suspension bolts can snap? You mean the part that holds the wheel to the car? Common sense says if a bolt is made of cheese, it's going to fail in a Minnesota winter. My kids ride in that car. Shame on Ford for letting this go on for five years while families paid for rentals and expensive repair bills. Stop using us as crash test dummies and just build something that doesn't require a recall every time the weather changes.
