Scott Pelley’s Hometown HOA Bans Kids From Playing Outside After 7 PM—What Kind of Common Sense Is That?

I just read that Scott Pelley’s fancy neighborhood voted to ban kids from playing outside after dark. Call me old-fashioned, but isn’t that just common sense? When I was a kid, we had curfews because parents actually watched their kids. Now these rich folks think a bylaw will keep the lawn chairs safe? Get real. These same people probably whine about “the good old days” while locking up their own grandkids. If you can’t trust your children to come home when the streetlights come on, maybe you shouldn’t have a 60 Minutes salary. Common sense says: keep your kids close, or move to a gated community with padded playrooms.
