the heirloom hotel laurel ms lawn chairs stolen by vagrants while owners out of town for funeral
We moved here for peace and quiet, and now this. I drove past the Heirloom Hotel on Beech Street yesterday, and there they were — three men I've never seen before, lounging in the hotel's brand-new patio chairs like they owned the place. I know the owners, the young couple who poured their savings into fixing that old property up. They flew out for a family funeral in Atlanta, and within 48 hours, the vandals and vagrants have already stripped the front porch of every piece of furniture. It's not just the hotel, it's the whole neighborhood. How hard is it to keep your hands off other people's property? This is why nobody wants to invest in this town anymore — common sense goes out the window the second a car with out-of-state plates shows up. I already called the police, but they said they can't do anything without a license plate number. So what now? We just let them run wild until the owners get back and find nothing but a empty patio and a bad check? Unbelievable.
