united flight diverted after angry passenger 'common sense' rant about reclining seats goes viral on Facebook.
Oh, for crying out loud. I'm on my local HOA Facebook group when I see this—a United flight from Newark to Denver had to make an emergency landing in Chicago because one guy just couldn't handle someone reclining into his laptop. He stood up, pointed at the woman in front of him, and started screaming about "common sense" and how "nobody respects personal space anymore." The flight attendant asked him to sit down three times. He didn't. So the pilot diverted. Now, I'm all for a little politeness, but if you're going to have a meltdown over a two-inch recline, maybe just bring a book. Or better yet, stay home. This is why we can't have nice things—or on-time flights.
