My Neighbor’s Cat Is Named ‘Foster Sylvers’ and Now My Kids Won’t Stop Asking for a Goat.
Honestly, this whole “foster sylvers” saga in our neighborhood is a perfect example of common sense going out the window. I saw a post yesterday from someone three streets over who actually tried to rename their rescue goat “Foster Sylvers” because they thought it would get more likes on social media. The goat ended up eating their fence posts, and now they’re on NextDoor asking for help paying for repairs. People forget that animals aren’t photo ops—they’re living creatures that need actual care, not a viral hashtag. I’m all for fostering pets, but maybe keep the “sylvers” in the past and focus on responsible ownership before something truly breaks.
