I can't believe the HOA spent $15,000 on a "defensive missile system" like some kind of military base to scare off geese from the pond! I've been living here since 1998, and common sense says you buy a $50 net and a plastic owl. But no, they had to go full military-grade. Now we've got a launch pad aimed at the playground because they say those birds are "diverting" water flow? My kids can't even fly a kite without clearance from the "missile silo" next to the gazebo. Meanwhile, my property taxes just went up to pay for this thing that looks like a rejected prop from "Transformers." Where's the common sense? Just let the geese poo; it's better than having a rocket eyeing up my barbecue.
