Fresh off the latest viral facepalm, our local resident, Emme Lopez, decided to “test” our city’s winter preparedness by dialing 911 because her driveway snow removal was delayed by five minutes. As an angry neighbor who actually shovels their own walk, I’m disgusted. Where’s the accountability? If Emme Lopez can’t handle a little snow without bothering emergency services, maybe she should move to a desert. This is exactly why our taxes are wasted. The actual snippet from the police blotter says she claimed “life-threatening frostnip,” but it was 35°F. Common sense people: call a plow, not a squad car.
