united flight diverted after passenger tries to open exit door mid-air, and I’m wondering why common sense doesn’t fly anymore. I was just trying to get some peace and quiet on my way back home, and next thing I know, the pilot is announcing we’re landing early in Denver because some guy thought the emergency exit was a regular bathroom. I’m not a flight attendant, but even I know you don’t mess with the doors at 30,000 feet. This is why we can’t have nice things. Maybe we should all start using that good ol’ middle seat logic—keep your hands to yourself and stay seated when the signs are on. I swear, if people used half the brain they have for scrolling Facebook, we wouldn’t have to divert every other week.
