**π¨ COMMON SENSE ALERT: Stop coddling your Steam Decks! π¨**
Just saw three separate posts today from people asking if they need to "warm up" their Steam Deck before playing in the winter or if they should "ease into" the power button.
For crying out loud, people. It's a GAME BOY for adults. A Nintendo Switch that runs Cyberpunk. Not a priceless FabergΓ© egg.
"Should I let my Deck acclimate to room temperature before charging?"
No, Susan. Let me guess, you also let your car idle for 15 minutes in the driveway because you heard the engine needs to "breathe." π
Here's my hot take that's going to get me banned from this group: If you're worried about the thermal paste application from the factory or the "ghost touches" on your screen, maybe you shouldn't have bought a $399 handheld PC that runs Elden Ring on a battery.
Common sense says: Play the game. If it works, stop modding it. If it breaks, RMA it. These things are tougher than your ego.
The amount of protective cases, screen protectors, and carrying cases I see in here... y'all are acting like you're handling antimatter.
Rant over. Downvote me into oblivion, but you know I'm right. π₯
