Just got back from the Township Council meeting and I’m absolutely fuming. Our roads look like the surface of the moon – I lost a tire yesterday on Maple Avenue. Kids can’t even ride their bikes without risking a concussion. But what did our brilliant leaders decide to spend $45,000 of our tax dollars on?
Three. Emotional support. Ducks.
That’s right. According to the agenda, we’re buying a custom-built “duck sanctuary” with a heated pond, a miniature gazebo (??), and hiring a part-time “waterfowl wellness consultant” to make sure these birds don’t get sad. Meanwhile, Main Street has a pothole so deep we spotted a family of raccoons living in it last week.
We need common sense back in this town. Fix the roads. Clear the drains. Stop treating our tax money like it’s play money for feathery freeloaders. Use your brain.
