TL;DR: Moved to a "quaint" township for the vibes. HOA president, Karen (obviously), sent me a passive-aggressive letter citing a bylaw from 1974 about "seasonal decorations being limited to 4 feet and natural hues." I replied with a 5-page essay on freedom of speech and included a photo of my gnome flipping the bird (I edited it in Photoshop, not real life, relax). Now I'm getting death threats from the "Lawn Gnome Patrol" Facebook group.
