Folks, we have families struggling to put gas in the tank, groceries through the roof, and our kids’ schools are barely hanging on—yet the same folks who’ve been running the show for years just coasted right back into office. Where is the common sense?!
You watch the news: they’ll spin it like it’s some historic landslide, but I saw the same tired faces and the same broken promises. My neighbor, a lifelong Democrat, said he voted straight-ticket GOP this time because he’s tired of the border chaos affecting his ranch. But did that change anything? Nope. Big money still calls the shots.
I’m not saying the other side is better—please, don’t get me started on the mayor who rubber-stamped that hideous apartment complex next to the floodplain. But the real loser here is common sense. We need leaders who shop at the same H-E-B as us, who actually pay attention to water restrictions and school overcrowding. Not folks who fly in for photo ops at the Alamo.
