**Sharing from my back garden, folks:**

CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST FOUND OUT. So my neighbor’s lad just got back from a six-month aid project – you know, the kind that’s plastered all over the local vicar’s newsletter. I said, "Where’ve you been, son?" He said, "Somaliland."

Now, I’m no geography teacher, but I said, "That’s the one that’s not a real country, isn't it? The one that’s been doing its own thing for thirty years?" He looked at me blank.

He said he was building a school. Paid for by UK taxpayers. Right. SO WHY is our money going to build a school in a place NOBODY OFFICIALLY RECOGNISES? We can’t even get potholes filled on Mill Lane. It’s not a country, it’s a bit of a coast with a flag.

Common sense says: if you can’t get a stamp in your passport, you don’t get a grant from my taxes. Let them sort their own borders out before we prop up their education system. #CommonSense #LocalFirst #MillLanePotholesMatter
