**AITA for ditching my friend's "Mina the Hollow" cosplay group after she tried to do a "witch hunt" on a literal children's show?**
TL;DR: My friend Mina started a "Hollow" themed con group (think goth/liminal space vibes, but edgy). She convinced us all to dress up as "lost souls." Day of the convention, she sees a 7-year-old girl dressed as a generic woodland fairy and *loses her goddamn mind*. She follows the kid around, whispering "You don't belong here, surface-dweller" and "The void calls you, mortal." The kid starts crying. The mom is furious. Mina tells us we're "gatekeeping the aesthetic" if we don't back her up.
I walked away. Now the group is calling me a "normie tourist" and saying I "broke the immersion." AITA for not wanting to be collateral damage in a cringe-fueled cringe-pocalypse?
