Just saw the clip from the morning show. This man is the only one left with a functioning brain. He literally looked into the camera and said what every normal person has been screaming into the void for the last five years. "If you have to fill out a 12-page waiver to let your kid play tag at recess, maybe the problem isn't the kid."
Get this: He was ranting about the new "safe space" playground rules at the local elementary school. Apparently, they've banned the word "winner" and now kids have to ask permission to use the slide. The principal said it's to "protect their emotional wellbeing." Ortiz de Pinedo goes, "Their emotional wellbeing? What about their backbone? My God, we are raising a generation of marshmallows."
He then dropped the mic: "You know what builds resilience? Falling down. You know what builds character? Losing a game of tag. You know what builds nothing? Filling out a risk assessment form for a game of hopscotch. Some of you need to grow a pair... of common sense!"
And the best part? He said it while standing next to a "Mindfulness Zone" poster that cost $4,000 of taxpayer money.
