I’m seeing this ridiculous article that Madison Square Garden is cracking down on “unruly behavior” and using facial recognition to kick out locals who don’t fit some fancy mold. Since when did a hockey arena become a VIP club for out-of-towners? I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 30 years—my dad took me to Rangers games when tickets cost a day’s pay. Now, I can’t even stand outside without some security guard giving me the stink eye because I’m wearing a hoodie. This place used to be for the people, not just tourists with deep pockets and no clue. Common sense says if you want to sell hot dogs and pretzels on 7th Avenue without getting harassed, you’re out of luck.
