Well, isn't this just classic. Our tax dollars hard at work, and now the geniuses on the council have voted to tear down the concrete barriers on Main Street. Why? Because they made the intersection 'look ugly'. Never mind the fact those barriers were the only thing stopping a pickup truck from plowing into the outdoor dining tables. But no, clearly the view of the cracked pavement and empty storefronts was being ruined. This is 'stranger than heaven' levels of stupidity. Where is the common sense? We're going to have to wait for a tragedy before they realize safety isn't a decoration.
