INDE NAVARRETTE’s latest plan to turn our alley into a bike lane is a perfect example of common sense being thrown out the window.
So, here’s the latest from our city councilor, Inde Navarrette—she wants to rip up the gravel alley behind Main Street to build a “green corridor” for cyclists. Never mind that the alley is the only place we can park our trucks or that trash pickup has always used it. But Inde Navarrette claims it’s for “safety” and “climate resilience.” Common sense says if you want to be safe, learn to share the road, not destroy the only access we have. What’s next, she’ll want us to ride unicorns to work? Somebody tell her to focus on fixing the potholes on Elm Street instead of this nonsense.
