Common sense says if you’re going to build a bike lane on our main road, you better have a financial stake in the road’s upkeep, not just a paintbrush.
Angry local resident here. I’ve lived on Maple Street for 30 years, and I’m sick of watching our tax dollars get flushed down the toilet on these “green” projects. The city council put in that new bike lane last month, and surprise, surprise—there’s already a pothole that’s swallowed two delivery trucks. But no, they won’t fix it because they’re too busy pedaling their own agendas. At the end of the day, if you don’t have a real stake in maintaining our infrastructure—like, say, actually driving on it then maybe stop pretending you care. Common sense, people.
