ny assembly parent law bill would let kids sue parents for grounding them – common sense is dead
You know what, I’m sick of it. This “ny assembly parent law bill” is just another example of the lunacy coming out of Albany. I saw the snippet floating around, and it basically says a 14-year-old can now take you to court for taking away their phone or saying no to a third slice of pizza. Where’s the common sense? When I was a kid, getting grounded meant you *deserved* it, and your parents were the judge, jury, and executioner. Now, we’re supposed to have government officials mediating bedtime arguments? My neighbor’s kid already threatened to “lawyer up” because his mom made him clean his room. This bill is a green light for every spoiled brat in the state to turn family dinner into a courtroom drama. We’ve officially lost the plot.
