Guild Wars 3 Devs Forget Basic Game Design? My 'Common Sense' Fix for Loot Boxes & Lag Will Blow Your Mind
Look, I'm not a game developer, but even I can see ArenaNet is overcomplicating Guild Wars 3. Why do I need a PhD in spreadsheets to figure out which loot box gives me a 0.5% chance at a sword? Back in my day, we earned gear by playing the game, not by praying to the RNG gods. And don't get me started on the lag in Lion's Arch – it’s worse than trying to get a straight answer from city council. My common sense fix: bring back the simple vendor system from the original Guild Wars. One gold, one item, no gambling nonsense. Also, cap the players per district at 50 so we can actually move. If these devs had to herd cats for a living, they'd understand. This isn’t rocket science – it’s just lazy design.
