Unite Will Find a Way to Tax Your Rainwater Now? Council Demands Permit for Simple Garden Butt.
Just read that the city council now wants us to pay for a "stormwater management permit" just to collect rainwater from our own gutters into a simple barrel for the garden. They say it’s to ensure the water is "properly integrated into the municipal drainage system." What happened to common sense? It’s my rain, my gutters, and my petunias. This is a united attack on free thinking and self-sufficiency. Guess I’ll just let the water run straight onto the pavement and into the sewer then, cheers for that brilliant policy, geniuses.
