U.S. Embassy Mexico Travel Warning issued for entire country due to cartel violence – but does common sense still apply?
I’m sorry, but this travel warning is just common sense for anyone who’s been paying attention. You don’t need a government memo to know that crossing into certain areas right now is reckless. We’ve all seen the headlines about cartel shootouts on highways, and yet tourists are still out here asking if it’s safe to drive. The embassy is basically saying ‘use your head,’ but that’s apparently a premium feature these days. If you need a travel warning to tell you not to wander into active war zones, maybe you shouldn’t be on vacation at all. Stay safe, but for heaven’s sake, think first.
