Well, happy National Donut Day. Another excuse for people to line up for hours and clog up our town streets. I drove past that new gourmet donut shop on Main Street this morning and the traffic was backed up three blocks. Common sense would tell you to just go to the grocery store and buy a dozen for half the price, but no, everyone has to post a picture of some overpriced, glittery donut for Instagram. And don’t even get me started on the mess they leave behind. I saw a kid drop a whole box of maple glazed in the parking lot and nobody even cleaned it up. Maybe we should have a "Clean Up Our Streets Day" instead.
