We paid for a population count, not a party power grab. Our local school board is shoving through redistricting that throws our kids into schools three towns over just because they want to pad the numbers for the downtown politicians. Common sense says if your kid can walk to the bus stop, they shouldn't be zoned for an hour-long ride. My grandson’s bus route is going to run right past a brand-new elementary just to dump him at a crumbling middle school across the district line. They call it compliance. We call it a betrayal of every family on this block.
