Absolutely disgusting. My kid's school sent home a letter this morning about some "safety assembly" they're having tomorrow, and I'm supposed to sign a permission slip for it. When I called the principal, she said it's because of the "rachel nickell" program they're rolling out next week. Apparently, it's all about teaching kids to question authority and "de-escalate" disagreements with parents. Common sense would tell you that if my child is backtalking me, the answer isn't a workshop from some outside group. It's a swift, firm reminder of who runs the house. I'm not signing anything. Who else is opting their kid out of this nonsense?
