Some of us have had enough! I went to the Krispy Kreme on Main Street for National Donut Day to grab a dozen of the original glazed like any COMMON SENSE American would do, and what do I find? They’ve got lavender honey, matcha green tea, and some ‘deconstructed’ vegan monstrosity. Since when did a donut need a political statement or a fancy latte ingredient? Stop trying to fix what isn’t broken! Kids just want sugar and sprinkles, not a lecture on sustainability. My family waited in line for 20 minutes only to find half the case was empty because nobody’s buying that artisanal garbage. Bring back the jelly-filled and chocolate iced, leave the social experiments for the farmers market. Next they’ll have gluten-free gluten on National Donut Day! #KeepDonutsSimple
