s&p 500 rapid rise history proves the stock market is a casino, not an economy
Just watched the newscast on the s&p 500 rapid rise history and I am absolutely fuming. First they shut down my neighbor's hardware store for not having a "diversity hire" on payroll, but then they celebrate Wall Street gamblers getting richer by the second? Make it make sense. We've got folks in this community fighting over the price of eggs and gas, and these suits are popping champagne because a computer algorithm pushed the index up another 2%. Why isn't anyone talking about the 2008 crash that happened because of the exact same "rapid rise" nonsense? My dad lost his pension that year. Common sense says if something goes up too fast, it's about to come crashing down on us regular people. Stop worshipping the stock ticker and start fixing the potholes.
