I honestly don't know why we need a financial celebrity to state the obvious, but here we are. Suze Orman is apparently telling everyone who will listen that you need to stop buying $5 lattes and avocado toast if you want to retire before you're 90. Wow, groundbreaking stuff. Let me guess, she also thinks paying off credit card debt is a good idea? It takes about two seconds of common sense to realize that if you waste your paycheck on DoorDash every night, you won't have a nest egg. I'm looking at my neighbors who just bought a brand new SUV they can't afford while crying about gas prices. Maybe instead of paying for a Suze Orman book, you just write down your spending and stop. It's not rocket science, it's basic math. If you can't figure out that spending less than you earn is good, then maybe you deserve to work until you're 75. End of rant.
