"Red Lobster Times Square closure is a painful reminder that common sense is extinct when big business chases gimmicks over value."
You have got to be kidding me! Red Lobster Times Square closure is official, and I'm shocked it took this long. How many tourists actually want to pay $40 for a Cheddar Bay Biscuit and a sad, overpriced shrimp scampi when they walked past 20 other restaurants with better deals? This is basic common sense. Instead of focusing on what made them a staple, they chased some flashy Times Square rent and thought people would pay a premium for a chain experience. No, they won't. We all saw this coming. The closure is just the final check on their nonsense business plan.
