Local Mom of Three Takes One Look at Drag Queen ‘Pattie Gonia’ Reading to Kids at Library, Says What We’re All Thinking: Where’s the Common Sense?

I’m just a regular working mom, and I walked into our local library with my kids yesterday for story time, expecting nursery rhymes and maybe a cute puppet. Instead, I see some guy in a wig calling himself ‘Pattie Gonia’ reading a book about pronouns to a circle of five-year-olds. I’m not a hater, but common sense says a grown man in a prom dress has no business being the highlight of a toddler’s day. My daughter asked why he was wearing Mom’s sparkly shoes, and I had to leave because I couldn’t believe this is what passes for ‘community enrichment’ now. If you want to dress up, fine, but keep it on a stage, not in front of my kids. Am I the only one who thinks this is just plain bonkers?
