HENRY NOWAK EMERGES AS UNEXPECTED HERO IN HIGH-STAKES PITTSBURGH RESCUE MISSION
PITTSBURGH, PA – A dramatic rescue unfolded on Tuesday evening when 34-year-old Henry Nowak, a local construction worker, intervened to save a family of four from a rapidly sinking vehicle in the Allegheny River. According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 7:15 PM on the Fort Duquesne Bridge when a sedan lost control and crashed through a guardrail. First responders arrived within minutes, but eyewitnesses credit Henry Nowak with entering the frigid waters unassisted. Nowak, who was returning from a job site, reportedly ignored personal safety to pull two children and their parents from the submerged car. Authorities confirmed all victims were treated for minor injuries and hypothermia.
