Local leaders are busy debating the future of AI while my neighbor just lost a tire to the sinkhole on Elm Street. Maybe we should let the robots fill the potholes before we start handing them stock options. I’m all for innovation, but the anthropic ipo buzz is just a distraction from the real crisis: our infrastructure is crumbling, and nobody’s fixing it. Don’t get me started on the traffic lights that haven’t worked since February.
