Local Parents FURIOUS as School District Bans 'Juneteenth 2026' Cook-Off Over 'Cultural Sensitivity' Concerns – Where’s the Common Sense?
Our school board just voted to cancel the annual Juneteenth 2026 neighborhood potluck because they claim a 'potato salad contest might exclude certain dietary groups.' Are you kidding me? We’ve been doing this for years, and now they’re worried about offending someone over a casserole? It’s a community celebration, not a Michelin-star restaurant. How about we teach our kids to share and be neighborly instead of tearing down every tradition? This is why we can’t have nice things anymore. Ridiculous.
