School district announces "year-round learning" pilot program starting june calendar 2026 – parents outraged
Well, here we go again. Our school board just voted to start a "year-round learning" pilot program beginning june calendar 2026, and apparently common sense is on permanent vacation. So now my kids will be stuck in a classroom while the sun is actually shining? I've worked hard for 15 years in this town, paid my taxes, and I guess that means nothing when they can just decide summer break is "outdated." Between this and the new bike lane nobody asked for, I'm starting to wonder if anyone in charge has ever actually raised a child. June 2026 can't come soon enough – but for all the wrong reasons.
