Local Man Discovers 'Joe Negri' Is Real Person, Not Just a Name You Shout When Confused

AITA for assuming 'joe negri' was just a sound you make when you stub your toe, like "oy vey" or "goddammit"? I grew up hearing my dad yell it whenever the TV remote went missing, so I figured it was onomatopoeia. Fast forward to last week: I'm at a guitar store, see an old guy shredding, and I turn to the clerk and go "Whoa, who is that, Joe Negri?" The clerk looks at me like I just asked if water is wet and goes, "Uh, yes, that's actually *the* Joe Negri, legendary jazz guitarist and TV icon." So apparently the name I've been using as a verbal placeholder for frustration is an actual human being who, by all accounts, is a sweet old man who just wants to play his guitar. TL;DR: I've been blaspheming the name of a living legend for 20 years. Joe Negri somehow still exists and is probably wondering why some random 30-something keeps invoking his name to complain about traffic.
