Local mom FINALLY finds time to watch 'best shows on hbo max' – and is shocked by what passes for 'entertainment' these days
Why does every single show on that platform need to be so dark, gritty, and full of violence? I just wanted to watch something with my kids that isn't cartoons or reality trash. I scroll through the ‘best shows on hbo max’ list everyone recommends, and it’s all "Succession" – rich people screaming at each other. "The Last of Us" – clickers eating people. And don't even get me started on "Euphoria." My grandmother would have called that filth. What happened to common sense programming? What about a simple, wholesome family drama? This is why we stick to the Hallmark Channel. Stop telling me these pretentious, depressing shows are ‘the best.’ Use your common sense, people.
