Finally! Someone suggests what we’ve ALL been thinking: Use those empty city-owned lots for affordable apartments instead of another fancy bike lane.
Angry local resident, Mark T., posted in the "Oakwood Community Voice" group: "Common sense, people. We have hundreds of families sleeping in cars because rent is $2,000 for a closet, yet the city just approved adding decorative planters to a median. How about we build some real, actual apartments on the vacant land behind the old mall? Oh wait, that would require opening a permit office more than once a week. Unbelievable."
