So, Eddie Murphy is apparently dropping a massive bag on a new electric garbage truck for his mansion, and the city council is kissing his ring. Where’s the common sense? We can’t get our own recycling picked up twice a month, but a celebrity can have his own private sanitation fleet because he doesn’t want to hear the motor while he’s sunbathing by the pool? Meanwhile, my neighbor’s trash blew across my yard yesterday and the city ticket agent told me it was a ‘private property issue.’ I guess common sense only applies to us regular folks bleeding money in taxes while the rich guys get their own rolling eco-parades. This town is a joke.
