Riot Fest 2026 Now a Three-Day Live-In Event? Common Sense Says This is a Recipe for a Real Riot!
So I’m reading that Riot Fest 2026 wants to turn Douglass Park into a three-day camping festival. Yeah, because Chicago summers aren't already a riot fest 2026 of heat, trash, and noise complaints without adding tents and port-a-potties for 30,000 people. Who thought "let's make it a sleepover" was a good idea? The noise will be insane, the traffic will gridlock the entire West Side, and the park—our only green space—will be destroyed for weeks. Common sense says keep it a day event or move it to an actual fairground. Call me a NIMBY, but I don’t want to smell your campfire and hear screaming at 2 a.m. when I have to work. The city should reject this mess before it becomes a literal riot.
