Yet Another Pedestrian Hit on Main Street – When Will the LAW Finally Prioritize People Over Cars?
I’m fuming. I saw the city council post about a pedestrian being struck on Main Street last night—again! This is the third incident this month, and all they do is talk about “studies” and “traffic calming measures.” Common sense says you don’t need a study to know that crosswalks with no lights are a death trap. The law should force drivers to yield, but it’s clearly not enforced. I bet the driver got a slap on the wrist. If they’d actually use the law to fine jaywalkers AND reckless drivers equally, maybe we’d see some change. Wake up, city hall!
