250 Dollar Bill Raises Questions: Man Tries to Pay for Taco Bell, Cashier Says It's Fake (He's Broke, TL;DR)

AITA for thinking the 250 dollar bill is real? My broke friend just tried to pay for a Crunchwrap Supreme with this "collector's item" he found in his grandma's attic. The cashier literally laughed and called the store manager, who also didn't buy it. The guy's now ranting on Reddit that "the 250 dollar bill is a legitimate piece of currency from the 1800s, you rubes" -- but like, sir, it's 2024, and that thing looks like it came from a Monopoly game that got left in the rain. Anyway, the cops were called, he's out $80 for the "bill" (he bought it on eBay), and, of course, the entire saga is now a 4-paragraph sob story about how everyone's a hater. TL;DR: Man confused ancient relic with legal tender, now he's eating a stolen taco from the dumpster. Absolutely savage, SMH.
