A resident of Lake Lure is going viral for all the wrong reasons after posting a furious rant on the "Hickory County Neighbors" Facebook page, demanding the town council ban future Zac Brown Band concerts after the singer dared to mention "whiskey" and "margaritas" during a set at a family-friendly amphitheater.
“I took my seven-year-old to hear some toe-tapping music, and all we got was a 45-minute lecture on drinking and beach vacations,” wrote **Gary "Skip" Patterson**, 58. “My daughter asked me what a ‘Knee Slapper’ was. I had to explain the entire concept of day drinking on a Tuesday. We left early. Has common sense left the building? This is supposed to be a Christian community.”
In the same breath, Skip admitted he brought a cooler of Coors Light and was "just trying to relax." The post quickly racked up 1,200 laughing reacts.
Local Sheriff's Deputy Mark Ramsey responded, “Ma'am… sir… we have a real meth problem in this county. Please just change the radio station.”
**Zac Brown’s team has not responded, but a spokesperson for the venue simply said, “We serve lemonade at the kids’ booth. It is non-alcoholic.”**
