Honestly, where’s the common sense? We all love Susan Boyle and her incredible voice, but does the entire block need to hear her warming up at 3 in the morning with the windows wide open? I’m not against talent, but I am against being woken up by what sounds like a banshee having an emotional breakdown at a karaoke bar. My husband works nights, and my kids can’t sleep through the sonic boom of ‘Wild Horses.’ It’s not rocket science: if you’re going to belt out power ballads all night, invest in some curtains and a decibel meter. This isn’t a talent show; it’s a residential street! Some of us have to get up to feed the chickens at 5 AM, and we need our beauty sleep. Find a recording studio or at least close your bloody window!
