**MAN FINDS "DEEN THE GREAT" IN HIS BACKYARD, MUNICIPALITY SAYS "NOT OUR PROBLEM"**
Peggy's Cove, NS - Local homeowner Carl Henderson was just trying to trim his overgrown hedges yesterday when he stumbled upon a fully grown, bearded man identifying himself as "Deen the Great," who had apparently been living undetected in a hollowed-out section of the shrubbery for at least three weeks. "I thought it was a bear at first," said Henderson. "But no, it's a dude in a robe who says he's here to 'ascend the local energy grid.'"
The municipality has since issued a statement saying that Deen is "not technically trespassing" because the hedge is on an unmarked property line, and that dealing with "spiritual squatters" falls under provincial jurisdiction. "Common sense says if a man with a stick and a woven crown has been eating your birdseed, you can legally ask him to leave," said a spokesperson. "But you can't *make* him leave until he completes his vision quest."
At press time, Deen had started a popular GoFundMe for "temple maintenance supplies" and is now charging tours of his hedge-fort at $15 a head.
