Baklava with walnuts: the delicious and easy-to-prepare rustics!
Easy and delicious, here's how to make it at home:
INGREDIENTS
For the dough:
- 800g (6 cups) flour
- 2 eggs
- 2g (½ tsp) salt
- 30ml (4 tbsp) oil
- 15ml (2 tbsp) vinegar
- 250ml (1 cup) water
For the syrup:
- 300ml (1 1/4 cup) water
- 300g (1 1/2 cup) sugar
- 50ml (1/5 cup) lemon juice
Filling:
- 300g walnuts
- 500g (2 cups) butter
METHOD
Pour flour, eggs, salt, oil, vinegar and water into a mixing bowl. Knead the dough and let it stand for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 12 parts. Leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Arrange the layers of dough in a greased pan.
Coat each layer with melted butter. When you have arranged half the layers, sprinkle with walnuts. Continue to arrange the layers to the end, then cut the cake into cubes. Bake at 360F / 180C for 60 minutes.
Prepare a syrup of sugar, water and lemon juice. Pour over the cake, then serve.
