Just saw the town budget breakdown and my blood is boiling. Our kids are using textbooks from the 1990s, teachers are buying pencils out of their own pockets, but apparently a roundabout needs a $50,000 stake of fake green carpet to look "welcoming." Where is the common sense? We're literally paying for decoration while the kids can't even get a working water fountain. But sure, let's pat ourselves on the back for the pretty intersection.
